SEN Teacher

A special needs school located in Reading is a dedicated and inclusive educational setting committed to providing personalised learning experiences for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Location- Reading

Salary - £140 - £200 per day

September 2024 start

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join our passionate team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, tailored education to our students with SEN, ensuring they receive the support and encouragement they need to thrive academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised lessons and learning activities that cater to the unique needs and abilities of students with SEN.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to develop and implement personalised education plans (PEPs) and support strategies for students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and updates to stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement and attainment.
  • Create a nurturing and supportive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to learn.
  • Participate in SEN reviews, multidisciplinary meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and practice in SEN provision.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant degree in Special Education, Inclusive Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with SEN specialism.
  • Previous experience teaching students with SEN in a school setting is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting the individual needs of students with SEN.
