About the Role:
GSL Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Sheffield. As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized support to students with a range of special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing one-to-one support and assistance to students with special educational needs.
- Assisting students with their learning activities, both in the classroom and in one-on-one sessions.
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to students, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Collaborating with teachers and Special Educational Needs Coordinator to implement individualized education plans and support strategies.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
The successful candidate will:
- Passion for working with children and a desire to make a difference in their lives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional needs of children with autism.
