Employment Type: Long-term placement
Salary: £150-£170 per day

As a SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to students with special educational needs. You will work closely with a dedicated team of educators and professionals to create an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support students with varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to develop individualised education plans (IEPs) and interventions.
  • Monitor student progress and assess learning outcomes to inform future teaching practices.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, empathy, and acceptance.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers, providing regular updates on student progress and collaborating on support strategies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies, interventions, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Resilience, flexibility, and a commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity in education.
