SEN Teacher

  • Earn up to £190 per day

An extraordinary opportunity has arisen at a secondary school based in the beautiful town of Glastonbury. They are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher to teach and support students in a bespoke Resource base, on site for children and young people with ASC (autism spectrum condition) who have an EHCP but who are unable to fully access mainstream education.

The successful candidate will

  • Be able to work with students with SEND, who may be especially difficult to engage in activities, present more frequent behavioural problems and where the attention span presents greater challenges and a need for high levels of patience to attain individual targets

  • Work closely with the team to ensure inclusive and personalised education for students in the Base

  • Have the ability to deliver and achieve the highest standard of teaching and learning for those students with additional autism and communication needs
