Job Title: SEN Class Teacher

Location: Hillingdon, London

Employment Type: Full-time, Contract

Are you an experienced and passionate teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN)? Join our dedicated team located in Hillingdon, where we are committed to providing high-quality education and support for students with diverse learning needs. We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Class Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis.

  • Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a class of students with special educational needs, including those with autism, learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, and emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs and abilities of students, incorporating multisensory and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Develop and implement individual education plans in collaboration with the SEN team, parents/carers, and external agencies, ensuring targets are set and progress is monitored effectively.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn and succeed.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support and interventions for students with SEN.

  • Requirements:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Substantial experience teaching students with special educational needs, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
- Creativity, resilience, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and overcome challenges.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice in SEN teaching.
