Pay Rate: £275.55 per day

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week.  Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, hybrid role working 1/2 days in the office

Main Duties of the SEN Assessment & Review Coordinator:

  • Facilitate the Local Authority (LA) in meeting its legal obligations concerning the assessment of pupils with special educational needs. Ensure smooth and effective execution of statutory procedures and placement arrangements for Enfield-based students, whether within or outside the LA jurisdiction.
  • Develop and implement tailored curriculum strategies for students with special educational needs and disabilities, emphasising inclusive learning and teaching methods.
  • Conduct meticulous planning, preparation, reporting, and subsequent support activities as part of consultancy services offered to schools in Enfield, aligning with both school and LA objectives.
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions to enhance the capabilities of Enfield school staff in addressing a diverse spectrum of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

 Requirements of the SEN Assessment & Review Coordinator:

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) Casework and writing Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plans within a Local Authority context.
  • Possess significant expertise in working with post-14 teams; applications lacking this experience will not be considered.
  • Recent experience within the past 2 years in Local Authority SEN settings is required.
  • Familiarity with key legislative frameworks such as The Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice 2015, and SEND Regulations 2014 is essential.
