Position Details: Teacher

Type: Full-time preferred, part-time considered (Monday to Friday term time only, 830-1530)

Start Date: 15th April, ongoing until the end of the academic year

Rate: £150 - 200 per day (calculated and paid by the hour)

TEACHER WANTED TO WORK WITH PREDOMINANTLY CHILDREN WHO ARE ON THE AUTISTIC SPECTRUM OR SUFFER WITH ANXIETY AND MENTAL HEALTH.

We now have a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring and creative Teacher to join their close-knit team at an independent special school in Somerset. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher to join the team, specific subject knowledge is desirable, but the main requirement is to understand the pupils needs and engage their attention to deliver the curriculum successfully. This really is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

About the School:

Our client is a mixed independent specialist day school for children aged 10 to 18, catering for children across the Autistic spectrum with associated multi-complex needs. Their dedicated team of staff work together to ensure successful outcomes for students who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

Nurturing aspiration to progress the pupils both academically and socially to encourage them to take pride in their achievements. Socially, building con?dence in their students, so they can have a greater understanding of the broader community in which they live.

Who are they looking for?

While ideally, we are looking for a qualified teacher, we will consider applicants who are experienced instructors who have the ambition and desire. While experience within a SEMH/SEN specialist provision would be desirable, we will consider applications from those who have not worked in this field but have an empathetic and patient nature. They are open to receiving applications from NQT's and unqualified teacher's dependent on your experience.

Training and development will be provided for the successful candidate in line with the identified needs of the school, the skills of the individual and their prospective career progression.
