Start Date: Immediate
Shifts: Monday - Thursday (7 AM to 5 PM), Friday (7 AM to 1 PM)
Hours: 44 hours per week

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sub-Assembler to join our team in the Machine Shop. This role is crucial for ensuring the high-quality assembly and disassembly of diesel engine components.

Responsibilities

Disassemble and reassemble diesel engine components efficiently and accurately.
Rotate through various stations to maintain alertness and readiness.
Utilize and familiarize with various tools, instruments, and calibration equipment.
Plan work to minimize waste and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Read and interpret production information to meet specifications and standards.
Meet production targets and maintain a high level of workmanship.
Verify connections, log assembly discrepancies, and support 5S activities.
Mentor trainees and apprentices when needed.
Report any safety concerns or issues to the line manager.
Manage waste disposal and undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Candidate Profile:

Proven mechanical experience.
NVQ in a mechanical discipline is preferred.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Ability to work in a team and independently.
