Are you a talented accountant with some experience of working in UK practice who would like to become part of the busy engine room team at this thriving independent firm in Aylesbury?

We're searching for a talented communicator and someone with a good grasp of foundation level general accounting and tax who can lend their existing skillset to a close knit team and develop their skills and be inspired by those they work with.

You might be AAT qualified or perhaps you're studying towards your ACCA/ACA or are keen to begin? This role offers plenty of professional development support and in time you'll be given the chance to pursue professional progression.

Job Purpose

• Support a varied client portfolio, undertaking a range of assignments including:
• Preparation of accounts
• Preparation of VAT submissions
• Supporting the preparation of tax returns
• Assisting the bookkeeping and payroll teams with general duties
• Liaise directly with clients, building good rapport and handling queries
• Work closely with the senior management team, including supporting Partners with projects
• Work as part of a team that fosters a supportive and inclusive environment
• Champion your own professional development, learning from an experienced team

Job Requirements

• ATT, ACCA or ACA qualified, part qualified, or planning to study in the near future.
• Previous experience supporting clients within practice.
• Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Multi-tasker with great time management and a can-do attitude to problem-solving.
• Organised and able to manage own workload effectively.
• Good communication skills.
• Confident working alongside senior management.
• Motivated and able to inspire others.
• Collaborative and creative.
