Title – Security Officer

P ay Rate – £11.84

Location – Birmingham

Shift Timings – 4 on 4 off, or 5 on 3 off, 10 hour shifts between 3am to 1pm

*NO SIA NEEDED

*Full training is provided

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for security personnel to work as part of the X-ray team for a well known Airport in Birmingham. For this role, your main duties will be to monitor the X-ray machines, check passenger and staff bags, and conduct personal searches. You will also be required to monitor the surveillance equipment and verify visitors . The right candidate does not require an SIA licence or previous experience, however needs to be confident in their ability to communicate with people, and manage large crowds in a fast paced environment.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Security of the airport restricted zone – access control.
• ID checks.
• X-ray screening of staff and passenger bags, both hold and cabin baggage.
• Bag and body search of staff and passengers.
• Patrolling the airport perimeter.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
