AJ Chambers are currently recruiting for a leading-independent firm, based in Milton Keynes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Secretary, who is keen to learn lots on the job. The candidate would also be responsible for greeting clients and performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

The Role:

  • Manage online filing of Personal and Corporation tax returns and submit accounts.
  • Compile and send emails to clients.
  • Handle Company Secretarial tasks such as confirmation statements and share transfers.
  • Prepare letters, reports, and documents, including mail merges.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post.
  • Organize and maintain diaries.
  • Assist with general filing and administrative duties, including document scanning and client onboarding.
  • Support in the onboarding process of clients.
  • Handle overflow calls efficiently.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who possesses:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft packages.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work within deadlines.
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills honed in a professional, fast-paced office setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a knack for collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • Preferably, experience in Company Secretarial and Personal Tax fields.
  • Background in accountancy or legal secretarial work is preferred.
