Job Title: Secondary Supply Teacher

Location: Holsworthy & Tavistock 

Company Overview: The Supply Register are a managed service working alongside 4 large multi academy trusts within Devon & Cornwall. We are currently seeking experienced and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to join our team on a temporary basis to cover short-term absences and maintain continuity of education for our students.

Position Overview: As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects and grade levels. Whether teaching English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, or other subjects, you will have the opportunity to inspire students, promote academic achievement, and contribute to their personal and intellectual development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate active learning experiences in accordance with the school's curriculum and policies.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners, maintaining high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
  • Manage classroom dynamics and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in teaching and learning experiences during periods of teacher absence.
  • Provide feedback on student progress and behavior, maintaining accurate records as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching in secondary education settings, with a strong subject knowledge in one or more curriculum areas.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and year groups as required.
