Day-to-day of the role:
  • Delivering subject-specific content to students in line with the national curriculum.
  • Planning, preparing, and presenting lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within their class.
  • Creating and maintaining a classroom environment that promotes learning and is conducive to the academic and social development of all students.
  • Assessing and recording students’ progress and providing grades and feedback to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participating in regular meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Contributing to the development of the school curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Experience in teaching at the secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the subject area and the current curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Commitment to ongoing educational development and a willingness to learn new teaching methods and strategies.
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
