We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Scunthorpe for Maternity cover. This full-time role commences immediately and until March 2025. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering the Maths Curriculum to pupils across KS3 and KS4, supporting the department in achieving high standards of education.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with the Maths department to enhance the curriculum and share best teaching practices.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school training events.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment that promotes student well-being and discipline.
  • Opportunity to work within a friendly and dedicated Maths department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • QTS Teaching qualification (PGCE, SCITT, MEd, Cert. Ed, etc.) or equivalent.
  • A relevant BA/MA in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience delivering the Maths curriculum up to GCSE and A-Level is desirable.
  • A proactive team member committed to raising standards and student achievement.
  • Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Right to Work in the UK (Visa Sponsorship not provided).
