Secondary Inclusion Assistant - Secondary School in Corby, Northamptonshire (NN18)

March 2024 - Full Time (Monday to Friday), Hours 08.30am - 3.30pm

Position: Inclusion Assistant

Your Role:

As an Inclusion Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the holistic well-being of our students. Your compassion, patience, and understanding will make a world of difference in creating an atmosphere where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged to thrive.

Responsibilities:

Supporting Individual Students: Work closely with students requiring additional assistance, understanding their unique needs, and providing personalized support to help them reach their full potential.

Promoting Inclusion: Collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and encourages participation from all students.

Mentoring and Counselling: Provide emotional support and guidance to students, fostering their self-confidence and resilience.

Conflict Resolution: Assist in resolving conflicts between students in a fair and constructive manner, teaching valuable conflict resolution skills.

Liaising with Parents and Guardians: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to update them on their child's progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in working with young people is advantageous, but we welcome enthusiastic individuals willing to learn and make a difference.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for this role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity within the school community.
