Are you a Teacher of History who is considering flexible supply from the new academic year in September?

Or are you soon to become an ECT (with a history specialism) who is looking to gain more hands on experience in a variety of secondary schools before gaining gaining a permanent role?

Due to an anticipated demand within Humanities, Academics are currently looking to expand our current cohort of secondary History Teachers that currently work in our partnership secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle-under-Lyme.

These roles are predominantly daily supply/cover or can be short term contracts (with the potential of turning into long term contracts).

History teachers for our opportunities would:

  • Have a desirable proven track record of working with students in both Key Stage 3 & 4.
  • Be a confident communicator, an excellent motivator, and can build good rapport with students.
  • Hold the relevant teaching history qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
  • Deliver exciting and engaging History lessons using your own initiative and have good knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
