We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of PE to lead our Physical Education department starting this September. This is a permanent position based in the vibrant community of Weston-super-Mare. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the PE curriculum and promoting sports and physical health throughout the school.

• Lead the development and implementation of the PE curriculum across all key stages.
• Manage and support the PE department staff, including professional development and performance appraisal.
• Promote a positive attitude towards physical health and sports across the school.
• Organise and coordinate sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department.
• Develop strategies to maximise student participation and achievement in PE.
• Manage departmental resources and budget effectively.
• Foster relationships with external sports organisations and the wider community.

• A recognised teaching qualification in Physical Education.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a PE department.
