Consult are looking for a Scrub Nurse to work closely with a key partner in the Ophthalmic industry.

The ophthalmic surgical patient pathway is a critical part of the hospital's operation, and the Ophthalmic Surgical Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care. The Ophthalmic Surgical Assistant is responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

  • Providing skilled clinical and technical assistance to the operating theatre team
  • Providing peri-operative and post-operative care to patients
  • Assisting with minor operations
  • Ensuring a comprehensive level of care provision
  • Adhering to the principles of clinical governance and the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Scrub Nurse to join our clients clinical care team. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant qualification, such as a Diploma in Ophthalmic Nursing or a Certificate in Ophthalmic Operating Department Practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • The ability to work under pressure
