We are seeking a Science Technician to join an outstanding secondary school in Slough. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in science and experience in laboratory management. • Prepare materials and equipment for science experiments and practical lessons.
• Maintain and organise laboratory equipment and resources.
• Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the science labs.
• Assist teaching staff with demonstrations and support students during practical sessions.
• Manage the stock control of chemicals and laboratory equipment.
• Carry out routine equipment checks and arrange for repairs as necessary.
• Support the science department with administrative tasks as needed.

• A strong understanding of science and laboratory safety protocols.
• Experience working as a Science Technician or in a similar laboratory-based role.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in handling scientific equipment and preparing materials for experiments.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
