Science Technican

Camden, Brent, & Barnet

£90-105 per day

We are currently working with a secondary school in the boroughs of Camden, Brent, and Barnet that require a Science Technicians for a role beginning asap.

You will possess a degree in a science subject and have a miniumum of 1 year previous experience working as a Science Technician/lab assistant, as well as having experience in an education setting - for example as a teaching assistant.

Strong science graduates without the above experience may also be considered for similar roles.

As a Science Technician as well as looking after lab equipment, setting up materials, and carrying out safety checks, you will also:

  • be dedicated to helping students achieve their attainment levels
  • encourage students to engage proactively with their learning
  • be responsible in helping to provide a safe environment for students to learn.
  • You will assist the teacher in the students their learning and development as well as with behaviour management, consistently promoting positive behaviour.

To be considered for this role of Science Technician you must hold a degree in a science subject.

Ideally you will already have some experience of working with young people, or you may be considering furthering your career in education as a teacher. Maybe you are taking a year out before doing your Masters or a PGCE.
