Science Teacher

I am seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join the team to start September 2024. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students in a large mixed comprehensive school catering to ages 11-18.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and innovative science lessons.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
  • Contribute to the overall development and progression of the science curriculum.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching science at the KS3 and/or KS4 level.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and facilitating student achievement, with evidence of continual progression in academic outcomes.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
