Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
  2. Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, providing each student with the opportunity to excel.
  3. Emphasise real-world applications of scientific principles, utilising hands-on experiments and cutting-edge resources to make science relevant and captivating for students.
  4. Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
  5. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for scientific inquiry, promoting respectful behaviour among students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Teaching certification in Science.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS
  • Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
