This Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Secondary School based in Merton, South London is looking for a qualified and experienced Teacher of Science (all three sciences) who can deliver lessons to KS3, KS4 and KS5 on a full-time basis. You will have an exciting opportunity to work with an already highly reputable school and join a performing and well-organised Science department, who are always seeking to deliver to the highest standards. The role is to start after Easter or as soon as possible, after a full-time basis.Your new role
Starting asap, you will be responsible for teaching science: chemistry, physics, and biology across KS3/ KS4/ KS5. As this is a long-term position, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, as well as completing the subsequent marking and assessment of pupils' work, ensuring all pupils are progressing well within the classroom.This role will also require you to ensure all behaviour is appropriate, and that pupils are achieving to the best of their ability. As this is a long-term position, you will also be required to attend parents' evenings and other school functions.You will join the Science department well alongside with other experienced Science teachers and the head of the department.What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have experience of teaching all three sciences across KS3/ KS4/ KS5 following the UK curriculum. You must be available to start after Easter half-term on a full-time basis and be able to work through to July 2024, with a real passion and drive to provide a high quality of teaching and therefore contribute to the overall success of the department.What you'll get in return
