Science Teacher - Biology or Chemistry

Pay: £165 - £240 per day, dependant on experience

We are working with an excellent, high-performing catholic secondary school in Watford who are looking to appoint 3 science teachers for the 24/25 academic year, these vacancies have occurred due to retirement and career progression - the school have a great staff retention rate due to the amazing atmosphere and their incomparable treatment of staff.

The students at this school consistently display positive and willing attitudes towards learning, with Ofsted rating their behaviour as Outstanding throughout the school as recently as December 2023.

We are looking for applicants with experience teaching either Biology or Chemistry to A-level students, with an enthusiasm for science and a determination to help children learn and be the best they can be.

Alongside the class teacher roles, we also have the capacity to offer an experienced Biology or Chemistry specialist the opportunity to become HOD, which would increase the salary stated above - proven experience teaching to A-level and outstanding references to be considered for a HOD position.

This school is easily accessible by car via M1 or M25, Underground on Metropolitan line and train, only 25 minutes from London Marylebone. Being located within a beautiful, small town, the area around the school is beautiful, with plenty of shops, restaurants and wildlife/nature walks available for those looking to relocate.
