Science and Maths Teacher

• Job Type: Full-time (Temporary/Permanent depending on candidate)
• Working Days: 3 days Science, 2 days Maths

We are seeking a versatile and dedicated teacher to deliver both Science and Maths at GCSE level at our forward-thinking school. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students in these key subjects. This role offers flexibility in terms of contract length, with the possibility of a temporary or permanent position based on the candidate’s fit and preference.

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Science and Maths lessons in line with GCSE curriculum standards.
• Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
• Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
• Utilise a range of teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs and interests of students.
• Maintain discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships with students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching standards.

• A recognised teaching qualification in Science and/or Maths.
• Experience teaching Science and Maths at GCSE level.
• Strong understanding of the current curriculum and assessment frameworks for both subjects.
• Excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
• Ability to motivate and achieve excellent results with students.
• The flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and teaching assignments.
