School Teaching Assistant

SCHOOL TEACHING ASSISTANT, PRESTON

Holden Knight Education are working specifically with a number of secondary & primary schools across Preston.

Schools are working exclusively with ourselves to provide teaching assistants to work daily and on a longer term basis.

Throughout the academic year, pupils will need support on a 1:1 basis, groups and support with EHCP's.

Teaching Assistants are integral to a school & offer you a long successful career in Education. If you have previous experience of working with young people through clubs, children's residential homes, care homes, SEND homes or experience in a position of authority this role could be for yourself. Level, 1, 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

You will need to be calm under pressure and stressful situations. You could be placed in situations with a lack of preparation time due to the changing nature of schools.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:

Location - Preston - Teaching Assistant.

Type of work - Teaching Assistant.

Start date - ASAP or September 2024.

Likely Duration - Ongoing.

Contract type - Temporary & Permanent.

Minimum rate of pay - from £94.32 per day PAYE.

Hours - 8:30am - 4pm daily.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

GCSE Maths & English desirable.

Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference).

Experience of being a teaching assistant or in a similar field (which we can reference).

Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential & we can provide the training).

Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (we can provide the training).

To be eligible for this role., YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK.

Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £52.00 (we can take this from your first weeks salary instead).

Provide a minimum of two professional references (No personal email addresses).
