Reporting to the Head of Estates and Facilities 

This is a temporary role with the possibility of a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

This post will involve travel between two locations in Isleworth and Feltham.

You will supervise and support the facilities team in order to provide a facilities service and safe working environment for all.

  • Deputise for the Head of Estates in their absence as and when required
  • Provide training and induction for new and existing facilities staff 
  • Act as a key holder and respond to problems and or emergencies 
  • Regularly inspect the College estate and facilities to ensure that repairs and maintenance issues are identified and promptly dealt with.
  • Opening/closing of buildings and security alarms
  • Coordinate compliance maintenance activities for the building and grounds
  • Arrange disposal of refuse and items in accordance with regulations 
  • Driving duties, as required IE, internal/external porterage and the collection/delivery of goods from local traders and suppliers.
  • Undertake basic routine maintenance tasks 
  • First point of contact with contractors and suppliers. Providing permits to work.
  • Undertake any Health & Safety duties as prescribed by the Head of Estates and Facilities.
  • Attend and participate in meetings 

Person Specification

  • Have experience of supervising others and/or able to demonstrate leadership, motivational and team building skills.
  • Working under pressure whilst delivering high quality standards and demonstrate good problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and capable of working unsupervised.
  • Awareness of health & safety legislation and good working practices.
  • Hold a full driving license applicable to the UK.
  • Possess appropriate IT skills relevant to the post.
  • Have an awareness of the safeguarding and prevent initiatives.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check to be completed.
