School Cook

Our client is looking for a talented School Cook to join their team. In this temporary part-time role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students by providing them with nourishing meals in a welcoming dining atmosphere.

Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00AM-2:00PM ( flexible if needed)

Pay rate from £12.00PH.

The successful post holder will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check, if not already obtained.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve well-balanced, nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements.
• Demonstrate knowledge of special dietary requirements and food allergies, offering alternate menu options when needed.
• Strictly adhere to hygiene and food safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organised work area.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Prepare and serve meals on time, consistently meeting high-quality standards.
• Foster a positive and welcoming dining experience for students and staff.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Certification in food safety is advantageous.
• Experience preparing and cooking meals in a kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for different age groups.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with students and adults.
