School Chef Required across our Trusts schools in Leeds

Days: Monday to Friday (term time only)

Hours:  7am till 2pm (hours may vary)

Duties:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
  • Create and develop new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely service
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of working in a catering/ busy kitchen environment and complying with health and safety standards.
  • Experience working as part of a team and using your own initiative.
  • Effective customer service skills and being able to work to high standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to undertake training and professional development.

Requirements

  • To have or be willing to obtain a DBS certificate on the update service.
  • Provide a minimum of two references to cover the last 24 months of employment.
