Schemes Account Handler

NJR Recruitment are delighted to share this interesting new opportunity with a specialist insurance broker in Lancashire, as they look to recruit an experienced Account Handler to manage their schemes business.

As Schemes Account Handler, you will need to have experience and knowledge across commercial insurance covers, in particular Employer’s Liability and Public Liability with Contractors’ All Risks also being beneficial. The role would suit an existing Account Handler, however, would also consider an Underwriter looking for a change.

The scheme will be developing with more staff required, so this position could also bring with it the opportunity of being able to build and lead a team, if this is something you would be interested in.

Salary for this position is flexible and dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Managing contractors involved in the scheme, taking registration of interest.
• Gathering current policy documents and statements of fact and reviewing.
• Handling any new business enquiries that come through, undertaking a full fact fine and liaising with the scheme provider to secure the requisite quote.
• Managing current existing business portfolio, dealing with renewals.

Skills and Experience:

• Commercial insurance experience is essential with good knowledge of EL/PL covers, with CAR being even more advantageous.
• Be well organised with good time management skills.
• Ability to work well both independently but also as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to develop relationships with different individuals.
