My client is a fast growing and forward thinking service provider in the Bury area. Due to recent growth they are looking for a Sales Team Leader. Reporting to Senior Management this is a mid level management role that offers progression and development to the right person. The primary function of the role is leading the team efficiently and effectively, continuing to build volume growth and keep up morale for what is already a close-knit team environment.

The sales team is responsible for generating sales through a first class customer service. The Sales Team Leader will lead the way in educating the team on the companies products to ensure all customers are offered the best and most suitable contract for their business.

The main duties of the role are:

  • Manage the day to day operations of the team
  • Provide front line support to the team with all queries and escalations
  • Manage the team’s sales drive, performance and workload
  • Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Work closely with senior management to ensure sales targets and team performances/expectations are achieved
  • Identify training needs and take ownership of the delivery of appropriate sales training to less experienced members of the team to ensure a robust sales process is maintained
  • Conduct 1-2-1s on a regular basis
  • Support back-office in providing aftersales support and customer care
  • Various standard and ad-hoc reporting
  • Attend off-site client meetings or events when required

The right candidate will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good arithmetic skills
  • Computer literate with strong Excel and Outlook skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good at working as part of a team and individually
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Account management experience
  • Contract negotiation experience
