Job Title: Sales Manager- Concrete

Salary: 40,000-60,000

Location: Guildford

As Sales Manager, you would be leading an experienced and talented team of sales professionals to deliver our ambitious growth targets. The role is vital to the development of the business and as such, a competitive salary and benefits package is ready and waiting for the right person.

Your purpose will be to achieve the business plan through the development of a highly skilled and productive sales force and supporting the marketing function helping to drive and measure business growth.

Our goal is that the successful candidate will build a small team of salespeople to maximise our market share.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth and expand our customer base.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of roofing sales representatives, setting clear targets and goals for the team.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers to understand their roofing needs and provide tailored solutions.

Sales Forecasting: Analyse market trends, track sales data, and prepare sales forecasts to make informed business decisions.

Budget Management: Manage the sales budget efficiently, ensuring maximum ROI and profitability.

Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with concrete industry trends and product knowledge to effectively communicate with clients and team members.

Performance Metrics: Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team to ensure they meet and exceed targets.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including operations and marketing, to align strategies and achieve company goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in working with concrete or screed.
  • Graduate Mechanical Engineer / equivalent (an alternative degree will also be considered).
  • Professional Salesperson / Sales Engineer.
  • Experience in a sales environment
  • Extensive experience of selling products and services.
  • Capable of building and managing a small sales team.
  • Exceptional listener and communicator.
  • Highly adaptive.
  • Articulate.
  • Highly motivated and ambitious.
