Sales Executive - Southampton, Guilford, Poole, Bournemouth, Basingstoke - £40,000 - £55,000 OTE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Sales Executive to join a well-established and growing automotive company. The Sales Executive will Identify and develop prospects, working with individual customers to understand their needs, to guide them towards the most appropriate product, and agree the sale.

Main duties of the Sales Executive:

• Plan and organise own daily selling activity whilst maintaining the showroom environment and displays to agreed guidelines

• Build rapport with customers by actively listening to their needs and discussing options

• Present suitable vehicle options, encourage test drives, and adapt to the customer's buying strategy

• Appraise trade-in vehicles, verify documentation, and negotiate purchase prices with the Sales Manager

• Discuss accessory and product options with customers and agree on sale prices

• Determine payment methods and finance arrangements within company guidelines

• Coordinate with Sales Administration for product availability, order placement, delivery scheduling, and customer follow-up to build relationships and future business.

Key competencies of the Sales Executive:

• Previous experience of working in a sales, telemarketing, marketing, or account management role

• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels

• Able to plan, organise self and meet agreed work deadlines

• Attention to detail and maintains good, accurate quality of work

• Ability to work to tight deadlines to achieve the business needs

• Able to react positively to organisational and market changes

• Excellent organisation, time management and prioritisation skills.

Working hours of the Sales Executive:

Monday to Friday 08:30 - 18:00 Saturday 08:30 - 17:00 Sunday 10.00 - 16:00 (1 in 3 rota) Bank Holiday (1 in 2 rota)
