If so, our Client is looking to appoint a Sales Executive within their successful operation based in the Wirral.

The Company

With a multimillion-pound stock profile and over 50 years of experience in supplying specialist products into the oil and gas industry and now into the plumbing and engineering sectors, our Clients have established themselves as a 'supplier of choice’ to customers Nationwide.

Their extensive product range provides pipes, valves, fittings, flanges, tubes, pumps, underfloor heating and much more to Mechanical Engineers, Plumbers, Heating Engineers, Fabricators, Installers and Gas Fitters.

The Opportunity

As part of our Client’s growth plans, they are looking for an experienced sales professional with knowledge of plumbing and heating or engineering products along with a good track record in sales, business development and customer service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As an internal Sales Executive, your role will be focused on communicating with both existing and prospective customers, via phone calls or emails, to ascertain their needs before then working closely with them to supply the products they require.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Taking telephone and email enquiries
  • Communicating with customers to understand their needs and identify sales opportunities
  • Providing quotations to Customers
  • Arranging deliveries
  • Building a close working relationship with both Customers and Suppliers
  • Answer customer questions, resolve their concerns and provide information via calls and emails
  • Develop and maintain new business
  • Building relationships and working as a team within the office

Person Specification

To succeed in this role, you will need to be self-motivated with the desire to achieve goals and possess the ability to generate and convert business leads into sales.

Previous experience in a distribution environment and knowledge of plumbing & heating or engineering products is required along with strong communication and negotiation skills.

In addition, you will need:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good numeracy skills to accurately calculate sales prices, discounts, and percentages when needed
  • Ability to send emails and use Microsoft Office (word, excel) to a basic level
  • Time management skills

Training

Full product training will be provided
