I am currently working with a 30-year-old privately-owned client, within the hospitality sector. They are seeking a new Sales & Events Manager to be based in Central London,

Their portfolio is made up of 3 hotels, 2 restaurants and event/meeting spaces.

This specific role is for one of their meetings & events space, made up of 17 meeting rooms and a rooftop terrace.

The location hosts a wide range of events, from large corporate meetings, wedding receptions and private events.

Salary - £45,000

About you:

  • A background in either a 4- or 5-star Hotel, Conference. Events operation
  • A natural leader
  • The ability to drive a sales team, and achieve set targets
  • Experience managing a small events team
  • Ideally have an existing client portfolio
  • Minimum of 3 years within the hospitality sector
  • Experience with Guestline/Reslynx would be preferred but not essential

The role:

  • Responsible for all business development
  • Conducting proactive sales calls, meetings, and participating in networking events
  • Conducting client site visits
  • Establishing strong client relationships, new and existing
  • Preparing weekly sales reports
  • Arranging viewings
  • Negotiating pricing
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Organising functions to perfection
  • Managing the events team
  • Using the company PMS, Guestline to proceed with tracking, allocations and payments
  • Ensure all function rooms are clean and set up correctly according to the specific event
  • Liasing with other departments of the business, guaranteeing outstanding experiences
  • Reporting to the company owner and CEO, working alongside the Director of Operations and Group Revenue Manager
