Sales Director

Cambridge

Travel: Approximately 50% of the time – globally. One day per week in the office is also expected.

A high-level opportunity for an experienced Sales Director to join a global leader in the field of scintillation technologies, with medical, security and industrial specialisms.

Reporting directly into the Managing Director of this organisation, the Sales Director will play a strategic role in co-ordinating and driving all sales activities on a global scale. 

Also working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and other affiliates within the wider group, this role will oversee the full sales lifecycle and will:

• Lead and line manage a small team of two direct reports.

• Manage and grow both existing and new accounts/sales channels – ensuring that the organisation and its product portfolio is promoted appropriately.

• Collaborate with internal functions – including Finance, QA and R&D – to ensure successful product delivery to customers.

• Generate sales leads and new business opportunities within the market so as to drive further business growth.

Skills and experience required:

• Line management and team leadership.

• A technical sales background, with experience of developing & implementing sales plans and also ideally with experience in medical, dental or x-ray screens.

• Knowledge and/or experience of export regulations – is highly desirable.

• Strong distributor channel management and development skills.
