Sales and Customer Communications Executive

  • Location: Royal Wootton Bassett, Swindon, Wiltshire
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: Starting from £25,000, dependent on experience (DOE)

We are currently working with a client who is seeking a Sales and Customer Communications Executive to enhance their existing customer holiday packages, focusing on increasing margins through upsell techniques. This role requires maintaining excellent customer relationships and working closely with various departments.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Communicate with customers prior to travel to upgrade packages, including flights, cabins, hotels, and tours.
  • Understand profit margins and requirements for upselling.
  • Liaise with suppliers to request and confirm availability.
  • Deliver exceptional customer support by understanding customer needs and expectations.
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and produce accurate administrative work to complete actions taken.
  • Proactively solve customer issues, maintaining high standards of service.
  • Make outbound calls to passengers to provide booking information and upsell where possible.
  • Ensure high accuracy in administrative work and maintain comprehensive notes on files.
  • Have a strong understanding of packages to recommend effective holiday changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to work shift patterns, including potential night shifts as required.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Confidence in working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivation and initiative.
  • Ability to work to deadlines with good attention to detail.
  • Remain calm under pressure and problem-solve accordingly.
  • Reliability with a flexible approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to work extended hours on occasions.
  • Extensive knowledge of products and cruising.
