Undergoing a major transformation in recent years, this independently-owned business seeks to boost its sales department by recruiting a goal-driven Sales Account Manager.

Sales is one of the most important and influential departments here as it’s at the heart of their success and has been pivotal in their growth, so it’s a genuinely exciting time to become part of the team as you’ll grow alongside the company and will be given all the tools you need to succeed. A crucial hire, this position has been introduced to drive the customer experience and account growth and is suited to an individual who enjoys building connections and thrives in a multifaceted role.

Day-to-day duties

  • Managing a portfolio of accounts, where you’ll lead interactions with customers to establish strong relationships, secure future partnerships, and maximise profitability
  • Utilise exceptional sales and account management experience to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities with an existing and valued customer base
  • Build rapport and foster close working relationships with both new and existing customer, gaining a deep understanding of their needs which enable you to provide tailor-made solutions
  • Seize every opportunity by identifying new business opportunities and following up on leads to convert them into successful sales
  • Actively reach out to potential customers who could benefit from the company’s product range
  • Handle administration tasks relating to sales which includes negotiating with suppliers, preparing quotations, supporting inbound enquiries, managing the CRM and processing orders
  • Successfully achieve and exceed targets and KPIs

Who we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in a sales or account handling role with a history of being able to spot opportunities, develop new business and manage existing clients
  • A high performer with a proven track record of working to KPIs, achieving sales, and thriving in a KPI-driven environment
  • The ability to see the sales process from initial enquiry through to successful delivery
  • Easily communicates, able to forge first-class, lasting relationships at all levels
  • Enthusiasm, self-motivation and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the team’s success
