Implementation of all necessary arrangements to assist in providing good health, safety and welfare standards for the workforce at all levels and meet its legal obligations.


Implementation of planned health and safety strategies for compliance and best practice, so as not to interfere or interpret workplace operations, so far as is reasonably practicable.


Provide competent health and safety advice including technical and operational expertise to internal customers to ensure planned health and safety strategies, arrangements and processes are implemented effectively and are working to the 'Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems' - Guidelines (OHSAS) 45001), for best practice and compliance with the law.


Give competent advice and support to Directors, management and workforce, in identifying hazards and finding solutions to safety matters within the workplace.


Interpret workplace activities being conducted, in relation to the need for compliance with health and safety legislation.


Delivery of specified health and safety strategies and targets through the management and maintaining site safety plan.


Conduct annual internal health and safety audit program and ensure working practices are effective and an audit action plan is implemented and completed.


Provide monthly health and safety performance reports to Safety Process Leader.


When required arrange and or deliver agreed health and safety training, maintain 45001 standards.


Ensure TU-O-64 Safety delivery matches the requirements of the agreed business Service Level Agreements and meets any set Key Performance Indicator's (at assigned site/s).


Ensure workplace safety inspections, at all levels, are conducted and results are acted upon.


Consult and communicate with management and workforce to ensure risk assessments are conducted to identify high, medium and low risks, and ensure they have adequate control measure in place and are reviewed and maintained accordingly.


Advise to all levels throughout the business, relating to the implementation and control of health and safety arrangements to mitigate risk of injury and ill health within the workplace.


Could be called upon for HSE, required and inform the appropriate Directors/senior manager as to any actions required or EHO, regarding any site visits and incident/ accident investigations as required.


Ensure health and safety topics forms part of workplace committees/forums/safety champions including attending technology health and safety meetings as needed.


Consult, advise, and educate management in understanding the risks associated with event management and the need to implement the process to minimize the risks to the business.


Supporting, as required, other locations and areas within TU-O-64 Group without detriment to the performance for own designated site/s.


Maintaining local documentation across the business, for evidence of health and safety Supporting and involvement with health and safety projects when required compliance.

  • Minimum General Certificate in Health and Safety Management or equivalent preference for NEBOSH Diploma.
  • OHSAS 45001 Lead Internal Auditor
  • Membership of professional body i.e. IOSH
  • 2 years + experience in safety management
  • Maintain CPD Programme. Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Implementation and maintenance of safety management system
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • PC literate: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Hold a valid full driving license
