Working for a leading regional contractor specializing in refurbishment projects across London and the South East.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a diligent Safety Advisor to join the team in Mile End, London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of a large refurbishment, maintenance and FM project, helping to oversee compliance with health and safety regulations and implementing effective safety measures on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage permit system.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans, including risk assessments and method statements.
  • Provide guidance and support to site management and employees on health and safety matters.
  • Oversee H&S record keeping.
  • Conduct safety inductions and training sessions for site personnel.
  • Keep abreast of changes in health and safety legislation and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Certificate.
  • Experience working in a similar capacity within the construction, maintenance of facilities management industries.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
