Safeguarding Support Officer
  • Hourly Rate: £17.09 PAYE / £21.12 LTD UMB
  • Location: Fully Remote
  • Job Type: Temporary, Immediate Start

We are seeking a Safeguarding Support Officer to assist a national social housing provider in achieving strategic goals. This role is crucial for maintaining the Safeguarding Register and Process through CRM, producing and analysing customer data reports, supporting safeguarding training, and managing the safeguarding champion network. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of safeguarding principles and be adept at CRM and audit processes.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Maintain the Safeguarding Register & CRM process in line with policy and procedures.
  • Assist with serious case reviews and domestic homicide reviews in conjunction with local authority safeguarding boards.
  • Liaise with IT to maintain the integrity of the Safeguarding reporting system.
  • Produce monthly KPI and Business Reports.
  • Monitor the quality of referrals.
  • Support operational managers, safeguarding leads, and champions.
  • Contribute to the learning and development of safeguarding practices.
  • Maintain the group safeguarding site on the intranet.
  • Stay updated with legislation changes related to safeguarding, mental capacity, and the protection of vulnerable adults and children.
  • Ensure data protection considerations are applied to all areas of work.
  • Assist with reviews of Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policy and legislation.
  • Uphold the organisation’s Equality and Diversity policy and relevant legislation.
  • Promote environmentally friendly practices in line with the organisation’s commitments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding principles.
  • Experience in CRM/Audit roles, ideally within a safeguarding context.
  • Ability to administer processes effectively, such as a complaints process.
  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to compliance with Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, and Data Protection policies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
