About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Staff Development team to join as a qualifications Assessor. As one of our Assessors you’ll be responsible for verifying and assessing your colleagues to help them achieve their Residential Child Care – Level 3 qualification programme within our Children’s Home and Health and Social Care qualifications within our Supported Living service.

This role will be busy and varied and you will be;
  • assessing mandatory qualifications under Ofsted and CQC
  • delivering teaching and learning workshops
  • preparing and maintaining qualification paperwork
  • supporting the L&D Manager to ensure qualifications are achieved within 24 months
  • advising on completion of qualifications for reports all whilst ensuring targets and deadlines are met.
About you

This is an incredibly rewarding role supporting our staff to reach key milestones in their personal development, so it’s important that you are a real motivator who is able to prioritise a busy work load and remain calm under pressure. The successful candidate should hold or be willing to work towards an A1 qualification (or equivalent). They should also hold a RQF Level 3 in Residential Child Care (or equivalent) and be willing to work towards their Level 5.

We welcome applications from staff without an assessor qualification but reserve the right to offer a salary below the published grade until such time as the qualification is completed.

Please note, the post holder may need to work flexibly in order to meet with our night and weekend teams. Prior notice will be given when this is required.
