About Platts Robotics:

Platts Robotics, a leading UK robot mower specialist, is seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Robotic Lawnmower and Garden Machinery Technician. Specialising in Husqvarna Automowers, and a variety of garden machinery, we are a small, fast-paced company at the forefront of the industry.

About you:

You have a passion for garden machinery, technology, and robotics, and a desire to expand your existing knowledge through on-the-job learning and mentoring from qualified team members. No task is too big or too small for you, and you love having the opportunity to work proactively, both independently and as part of a team.

Key Duties:

As a Robot Lawnmower and Garden Machinery Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks, including (but not restricted to):

· Installation, maintenance, cleaning, and diagnostics of robotic lawnmowers.

· Servicing and maintenance of garden machinery, including battery and petrol equipment (i.e. strimmers, chainsaws, walk-behind lawnmowers, and ride-on tractors).

· Providing telephone support to customers and arranging on-site visits.

· Handling new sales and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

· Assisting with website management, e-commerce, and general administration.

· Supporting the company directors in day-to-day operations.

· Participating in prestigious industry events and exhibitions, such as The Chelsea Flower Show.

· Collaborating with leading brands like Husqvarna, Kress, and Stiga.

· Attending relevant training courses.

Qualifications and Skills:

Must Have:

· Experience of servicing and repairing garden machinery

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Proactive, organised, and adaptable approach, in a fast-paced environment.

· Self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, well-presented with the ability to build strong relationships.

· Computer literacy and a keen interest in technology and electronic components.

· Flexibility to work occasional weekends, recognising the variable workload depending on the time of year.

· Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

· Full, clean, UK driving license

· Right to work in the UK

Great if You Have:

· Experience working in gardens or landscaping.

· Experience working within a small business.

· Experience in website administration.
