Risk and Assurance Manager

We are recruiting a Risk and Assurance Manager to join a large North West Housing Association.

Your new role
As a Risk and Assurance Manager, you will have responsibility for the development, implementation and management of the Group's Risk Management and Assurance approach. You will work cross functionally across the business, and as a subject-matter expert in risk, internal control and assurance matters with significant exposure to the Group Board, Senior & Executive Leadership Team. You will have responsibility for the line management and leadership of 4 direct reports.

This is a full-time role, working Monday - Friday from 9-5pm. You will be expected to be in the office a minimum of 1 day per week. Therefore, you must be able to commute to the office based in Warrington.

What you'll need to succeed
Essential to the role:-

• You must have proven experience in a managerial role, successfully managing and motivating a team.
• Able to influence a diverse range of stakeholders with a track record of delivery.
• Relevant risk and assurance experience across multi disciplines, and being able to manage multiple work-streams.
• High-level analytical skills and the ability to present data, with the proven ability to draft reports.
• Significant knowledge of risk, internal control and 3LoD frameworks
• Professional qualification in accountancy, internal audit, or risk management, (e.g., ACA/ACCA/IIA/IRM)

Ideally, you will be degree level qualified with experience in the insurance sector, and will have creative problem-solving skills.
