£13.00 per hour to start

40hrs per week including weekends on a rota

Our superb client is urgently seeking an experienced retail professional to join their current team in assisting their current Retail Manager at their extremely popular premises on the outskirts of Chichester.

Reporting to the Retail Manager, you will assist in the efficient running of the retail area on a day to day basis, drive the sales and profitability of all internal departments and ensure the agreed retailing and operational standards are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities -

• To assist with the management of incoming stock, getting it out swiftly and presenting it well to sell quickly
• To assist the Manager to ensure the internal team all perform to a high standard
• To deputise for the Manager in their absence
• To ensure all members of the team are highly productive and fully occupied at all times
• To conduct the necessary staff coaching and training to develop the individuals when directed
• To ensure all staff present themselves in a Company Uniform & PPE at all times in a clean & tidy manner
• To assist in the management of breaks to ensure internal sales area and tills cover
• To assist the Manager to prepare orders in conjunction with suppliers for stock to meet the expected level of trade
• To merchandise and display stock according to the agreed principles
• To undertake stock takes with the Managers guidance
• To request point of sale material and put it out to ensure all displays are fully supported
• To proactively serve and help customers in need of assistance, resolving queries / complaints

You will have the following skills and experience -

• Previous retail experience in a multifaceted environment
• Previous Supervisory or Team Leader experience
• Ability to work weekends on a rota

The additional skills would be preferred although not essential -

• Forklift Licence
• Clean Driving Licence
• First Aid Certificate
