Overview:

Situated in the picturesque countryside of the Scottish Borders, our client operates a luxury estate that offers unique accommodation options and experiences for its guests. Visitors (and staff!) can relax in the spa, share a delicious meal in the restaurant, warm up around a cozy fire pit and participate in numerous indoor and outdoor activities. Our client is looking for a Restaurant Manager to take ownership of their in-house bistro restaurant.

Benefits and pay range:

  • £30,000-34,000 dependent on experience. Full Time, Permanent position
  • Work on location in Scottish Borders

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for delivering the best customer experience possible within the restaurant
  • Lead the front-of-house team and managing floor operations
  • Provide training and development for existing staff, and grow team for further success
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness, food quality and service standards
  • Scheduling and staff organisation
  • Managing service board and flow
  • Face to face customer service, engaging with, and creating solutions to customer feedback
  • Being the face of the restaurant - being friendly, approachable, and energetic toward customers, staff and other stakeholders

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience managing and developing staff
  • A mature, engaged and enthusiastic outlook
  • Familiar with management software like ResDiary, Opera, Micros (Oracle)
  • Strong financial literacy
