Resident Services Manager

Leeds

Our Client is recruiting for a talented Resident Services Manager to help us build a strong operation that exceeds the expectations of our customers whilst leading the team to success.

You will support in management of a Grade II listed building, along with further development and be responsible for the delivery of the regional operational, commercial and people strategies at a property level. You will support the General Manager to deliver improved service, safety, and sales performance, effectively manage your budget and costs, and create an inclusive environment where both our students and our people can thrive.

You will be able to:

  • Articulate and advocate the organisations vision and strategic plans to support the team in helping deliver change
  • Adapt your style to inspire, engage, and motivate your team in varying situations
  • Apply a consistent set of practices to identify team performance and gaps, build core competencies and improve overall employee performance
  • Manage your own and the team’s workload and pressure, and adapt to evolving situations by seeking alternative approaches
  • Adjust current working processes and generate new ideas in response to industry changes and demands
  • Build a strong network and collaborate with other company teams with diverse expertise and capabilities
  • Champion diversity and inclusion and build solutions based on contributions from colleagues and students from various backgrounds
  • Reflect on your own capabilities and behaviours, participate in development activities, and use feedback to support your performance and development
  • Support the sales performance within the property, proactively driving local sales activity and revenue generation
  • Be accountable for maintaining a safe environment for everyone including the teams’ completion and recording of basic monitoring and compliance, ensuring the team is trained and takes appropriate action in case of incident or emergency
  • Responsible for creating an environment in which Student Ambassadors can create and build a community
  • Ensuring the teams’ responsiveness; that the team are taking appropriate action on receipt of student feedback, resolving issues either directly or indirectly and making sure a resolution is found or the issue is escalated in the right amount of time, where applicable, they are responsible to establish the root cause and solutions to ensure it is not repeated
  • Responsible for the teams adherence to policies, procedures and specified and trained ways of working at all times, reflecting local nuances and highlighting and escalating requirements for change or improvement
