Resident Involvement Officer

£33,443 per annum plus eligibility to participate in the Performance Related Bonus scheme

Full-time, permanent

Based in Hale Village, North London, N17

Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.

Working closely with the Resident Involvement Manager and as part of the wider Service Improvement Team, you will support existing and new resident groups through the development and facilitation of specific resident participation and consultation initiatives. You will engage with residents to ensure the best possible service is provided at all times and assist in the ongoing review of Newlon’s Resident Engagement Strategy. Familiar with regulatory changes and legal requirements of landlords around resident involvement, you will ensure that it remains meaningful and effective, and that the residents’ voice has an impact on how services are delivered.

First class customer service and communication skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to liaise with a wide range of people, in a multicultural environment, on an individual and group basis. You will have experience of providing a customer-focused service including monitoring budgets, a strong team ethic and the ability to empathise with residents. Flexibility is also essential as you may have to travel to meet residents, and attend evening and occasional weekend meetings.

In return, you can expect 27 days holiday, a non-contributory pension, excellent benefits, and a flexi scheme. We currently offer the opportunity to work up to 2 days at home. You’ll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project and are situated just two minutes’ walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
