Research Engineer - Device

Belgium - Onsite position

Responsibilities:

Investigate the viability of prospective inventions and products typically 5+ years prior to landing on a product roadmap.

Initiate and contribute to the design, development, execution and implementation of scientific and engineering research projects in both fab and laboratory environments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and our foundry / EDA / research partners on site and globally to leverage the insights gained from research, develop devices, and mitigate issues by identifying shortcomings and proposing and evaluating device modifications.

Participate in the transfer of feasible technology solutions to the internal technology development team.

Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and contributes to technical literature and conferences.

Involve in development of intellectual property.

To be considered you will need the following:

Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related discipline

Knowledge with semiconductor physics, unit process modules and related technology

2+ years of experience in advanced engineering disciplines such as physics, and programming language

2+ years of experience with semiconductor device design, simulation, characterization and data analysis/modeling (or Semiconductor device fabrication and physical characterization)

Emphasis in Solid State Material and Semiconductor Device Physics, CMOS Process Technology

CMOS Logic Devices/Ferroelectric Memory/Magnetoelectric Devices

Hands-on experience on device design, TCAD simulations, or Molecular Dynamics Simulation

Ab-initial/Atomistic simulation of advanced materials and semiconductor devices

Proficient in coding/scripting language (C/C++/python/Matlab)
