Reporting Finance Business Partner

We’re supporting a growing business with the recruitment of a qualified Accountant to join the commercial finance team in an exciting project-based role who will be responsible for running all management reporting. In addition, the successful candidate will be a driving force in identifying, summarising, and creating efficiencies in current reporting management reporting packs. This role will work primarily with the excel data and systems to drive improvements and efficiencies in the current process and systems.

The role will include:

• Creating and publishing the weekly financial reporting for the SMT and wider team
• Reviewing the P&L and balance sheet information to identify exceptions and provide information and insight to ensure correct journals and results.
• Preparing and reviewing Management information periodic statements.
• Leading and reviewing a variety of internal cost of good and overhead activities.
• Owning aspects of revenue recognition
• Assisting with all internal and external audits, and other compliance activities.
• Building strong, supportive relationships with team members and stakeholders across the site and the broader organisation.
• Producing written communications to SMT, Board and sub-committees

About you:

We’re seeking a qualified (or nearly qualified) individual with good business partnering / commercial finance skills who has an analytical mindset. Strong Excel and systems skills are important as the ability to understand, prioritise and proactively recommend workable solutions to the challenges faced by the Finance Team, be aware of the implications of making those changes to the business and anticipate potential issues and identify practical workarounds.

Ideally candidates will offer experience of initiating and creating improvement projects and have a drive towards progress with a proactive, delivery-focused mindset and can-do approach.
